I've never had Thai food, but I've heard that it can be really spicey. I don't know about your sister, but I really don't like spicey food. So, it's normal, I mean I'd choose McDonald's over spicey food.
Besides, people from Thailand are creepy! Read a book called "The spirit house" by William Sleator and you'll know what I mean. And watch the movie "Brokedown Palace".
