How are you supposed to study with three people in a college dorm room? You must feel "very" unconfortable! You need to have a talk with your roommate about this. Many people are uncomfortable sharing a room with a member of the opposite sex and you shouldn't have to. Suggest that instead of the girl driving to visit your roommate, that he go to visit her for the weekend. If he doesn't have a car, he can always take the train or bus - or she can come pick him up. If you can't settle things between you, request a different roommate.
But to answer your question regarding whether or not this is a "normal" relationship. No it is NOT! She's doing all the giving and he's doing all the taking and that isn't normal.
