I have a good idea why they may not have cared. Perhaps your lack of sympathy and remorse is genetic and your parents are just like you and simply didn't care. They probablly just didn't see anything that wrong with your actions even though they probablly knew it was wrong by societys standareds, and let your behaviour get worse.
