Absolutely normal! Someone from my family gave birth all naturally when she was 48, and that was the 60s if I remember correctly. Like already said on here, being a parent later comes with its pros and cons. However, there is absolutely nothing you should be ashamed of especially now that it is becoming more common. Maybe in small towns or villages there is still this pressure to settle down in your twenties, so being a first time older parent is a bit less common? Either way, enjoy the time you spend with your mom.
