More women are having babies later in life now than in the past, but certainly it wasn't rare 20 years ago.
My parents married at 42 (father) and 29 (mother) way back in the 1930's and I wasn't born until about 10 years later and there was another child after me. It did mean my parents were more the age of my friends' grandparents and very oldfashioned because of that, but it wasn't extremely rare back then for women to have "change of life" babies in their late 40's, much to their own surprise.
Nothing you can do about it anyway, so why worry about it?
IIN My mother gave birth to me when she was 39?
