I am so sorry to hear your mom's gone that route. A lot of people are super mega holy rollers when they first convert, so maybe she'll calm down. If she doesn't, well...I hope you can move out soon.

Truly, I am sorry you're having to live with that. She's doing what she thinks is right for you, so try to look at it as coming from a place of love even if you find the message itself abhorrent. Oh, and get a library card if you don't already have one. Every mom is happy to hear her son or daughter wants to go to the library, and you can read Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the Gormenghast trilogy or anything else that floats your inquisitive agnostic boat. :)
