Is it normal my mom doesn’t let me be active b/c of my chest

I️ really want to play hockey, like really bad. I️ love the sport and think I️ could be really good at I️t! So I️ want to join a gym to get strong and work on my body, but my mom says it’s for men and that I’m too busty to be active.
She says that if I️ am moving around and jumping around people would think I’m a whore. I️ get a lot of attention from men because of my figure and my looks, but I️t doesn’t bother me, and I️ don’t want I️t to keep me from playing a sport that I️ love.

Sports bras. Don't know anything about them apart from the obvious, but they may help.

Your mother seems to have some very old fashioned ideas.

Your mom is being an ass, or just very overprotective. Busty women can go to the gym, and do whatever active thing you want. Sports bras were invented for this purpose. Being active is very important for your health, in this case your mother is wrong.

I have to say what your mum is saying is extremely unhealthy both physically and mentally. First she's stopping you exercising, which some parents would have to bribe their kids to do. But then she's also trying to make you feel ashamed of your body, which is very damaging to your mental health. I'm don't mean to say that she's a bad person or anything, I don't know her, maybe she's actually really nice and she doesn't mean to intentionally say all this really bad stuff. But in this case I wouldn't pay any attention to her, you seem to have the right attitude to it and I'd carry on like that if I were you.

You do you. You do what is best for you. My mother's mother told her to stop swimming because it would make her shoulders too big and make her unappealing to men. My mom regretted her not competing in swimming for life, she could have been an olympian. I fucked with a chick that actually played baseball, not softball. Strong men respect strong women. Mental, physical, social. Make the best of your talents and work for yourself. If family and others don't support you, fuck them. Go get what you want as your best. The shitty naysayers will kind of flock around eventually.

I live in Holland and here is full of girls playing hockey. And going to the gym is just healthy. So dont see really where the logic is coming out from your mum. She sounds only protecting towards the fact that guys Will look at you, but instead of insulting she should keep her thoughts to herself or address it in another wat.

Gym makes boobs shrink anyways, not that they are a problem in the first place. She is coming from a well meaning place but is not correct here.

I've seen this before, it's sad.
I don't have advise except get around it if you can.
Having a bosom doesn't make you a suspicious morals woman.
    She means well, but.
Her restrictions are just as disrespectful of who you are as a young lady.

its kind of obvious who is not going to get to play hockey until they are out of moms house. did you think running this by use would help your case in any way? not going to happen.

Hit the gym and give up on hockey.

Physically demanding, competitive sports with chances for a broken nose or missing teeth = too much for a young woman lose, not enough to gain. You aren't going to bounce back like a guy will from that sort of wear and tear.

Women wear full face masks in hockey. In fact, so do high school and college boys and men's hockey. Only in the professional and semi-professional hockey do they go without face shields.
