Is it normal my life is very similar to famous rock stars

Well I'm 17 and I was bored and I was reading bios on too of my favorite frontmen, Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain and it is so odd how many similarites we have. Both of them were loners who made freinds through rock music and were involved in their local music scene. That's the part I'm just getting into now. I paly guitar in a band and we're starting to get gigs. Both used drugs a lot. Both had parents that got divorced. A lot of weird coincednces, Is this normal? It's kind of scary

    Aw c'mon guys don't be rude.

    OP, I've also found that I tend to lean more towards musicians who have a similar attitude/lifestyle or who had a childhood that was similar to mine. I don't do it BECAUSE of this, but it's kind of similar to connecting with people more who have things in common with you.

    So no it's not weird that they had similar lives, because a lot of people come from broken homes. But it's also normal that you like them/notice this. :-)

      Sorry if my response came off as rude as well. I was mainly responding to the bit about drugs and trying to say that your fate is not pre-determined. I also meant to say well done to the OP on getting gigs! May you continue their legacy!!!
