Is it normal my life is good but my dreams are awful

I’m very satisfied and happy with my situation and relationships in life right now, but every night my dreams are just awful.

It’s always that I’m on an elevator trying to get to a certain floor, but the elevator won’t let me.
So I go to a nearby floor and take the stairs, but when I take the stairs it puts me down/up like 6 floors or something crazy.
And every time I try to ask someone about it they just walk through me and can’t hear me and the halls go dark.

They aren’t necessarily scary dreams, just frustrating and makes you panic

I mean it could be about something u never got to reach because of certain things
Could be something small, subconscious, basically anywhere at any time
Or anxiety about not reaching your goal that you just push down
My guess would be that the thing already happened though and you never got over it in a way
Also you went through the thing on your own
Having the same dream over and over again could really mean that your mind wants you to deal with something

The panic doesn’t feel nice, I always run like crazy and it just never feels good waking up🤷🏻‍♀️

Weird dreams are normal. I have a lot of dreams about flying, and sometimes I jump, and fly in my dreams, but can't get down.

I used to have lots of recurring dreams about losing my teeth when I was young, and for whatever reason I haven't had those dreams in a very long time, and for that I'm grateful.

I also used to have a lot of dreams about being in a radio station where I couldn't find any good music to play, I can't find the logs, I'm too anxious to talk on the mic, or the microphone doesn't work, or other technical difficulties. I've also had a dream where I was working an overnight shift, but I kept falling asleep.

I feel like a stupid hypocrite for saying this, but have you ever thought of keeping a dream journal? The reason I feel like a stupid hypocrite is that I know how good it is to journal, but it's very hard for me to do.

You could write down your dreams, and then look up the meaning of certain symbols in your dreams online, or in a dream interpretation book.
