If everyone has bad intentions, and is trying to manipulate you, what is the point of asking advice of strangers on the internet? Do you see how ridiculous your line of reasoning is now? I believe most humans aren't intentionally bad, just selfish, which I can understand because I myself usually have selfish intentions as well. We all do. Most people don't mean to harm you, they are just oblivious to the harm they cause. Look up Hedgehog's Dilemma. In a nutshell it says that a hedgehog wants to be near other hedgehogs, but they harm each other unintentionally the closer they get.
