  • I also lack gaydar. I just don't really have anything to go off of because it's like, I know straight people who seem very gay, and gay people who seem very straight (from anything stereotype related). I don't think there is a for sure way of knowing, however, if I were to try to guess someone's sexuality I would have to think posture, gait, and voice tone may be an indicator. I make this assumption because I believe that people who are homosexual have less testosterone levels. BUT (and keep in mind) Obviously one cannot make assumptions like this because some people just have a feminine side/masculine side to them regardless of orientation. I think "gaydar" is probably something both straight and gay people can mistake. In short, straight people can have gay tendencies, and gay people with straight tendencies. It's all ones way of perceiving based on previous knowledge, information, and stereotypes, that of which can be flawed. In short, straight people can have gay tendencies, and gay people with straight tendencies. Many people make assumptions about other's sexuality, and honestly it's just pointless! If you really want a sure fire way of knowing, you could get to know them and ask what turns them on. :-P
