Depends completely. If these people are not saying it to your face, nor wanting you to hear it, then they are communicating their feelings about you, which people do all the time with others, as I'm sure even you have. If you're looking to create drama over someone saying something about you that is in their opinion, then in a way, you are making harmless opinions between others in to a more dramatic situation.
