Is it normal my friend calls me a sweetheart?

She's never called me it directly like it's a name for me, but she has said things like you're such a sweetheart and I heard her calling me a sweetheart when talking to one of her friends. She also once said something I did was lovely. She's just a friend though, so I'm not sure if she means it in a friendly way or she's hinting at something. Do girls say these things about guys they only want to be friends with?

    i like to call both my male and female friends sweetcheeks.

    needless to say, the guys tend to back away from me in the showers.

    It's a normal term of endearment. It could or doesn't mean that she likes you in a romantic way.

    more than likely anything having to do with you being nice is a "death sentence" for any hope at a relationship with this girl. I hate to say it man but they just don't like nice guys. Could be wrong though sooo..

    Normal, she probably just thinks you're sweet. I'm female and often times other females will use terms of endearment when talking to me, but when a guy does it it's such a sweetheart thing :)

    Completely normal for a lot of people. She could simply be very fond of you as a friend or grateful for something you did for her. Terms of endearment don't mean someone's attracted to you.

    Yea she could be hinting at something but girls do say it all the time. I mean if you are a sweetheart you're a sweetheart

      I agree maybe she just thinks you are sweet, women are more open about these things than man are with other men she most likely is just saying she thinks you a sweety .
