Is it normal my fiancé sings/talks to his dog

I love my fiancé to death, but he’s such a weirdo with his dog. He’s a hardass, very solid and soft spoken, 27 years old, he was a solider in Ukraine before coming to America so he has a strong accent that he’s embarrassed to talk with in front of people. But good god does he talk to his dog.

He straight up sings everything to her, not trying good singing or melodic singing, but comical singing about just normal sentences. And he praises her like she’s an angel and pampers her to no end.

Some of his classics include “You won the sweetest girl award” “My most amazing baby dog” “Holy shit puppy dog you look great” and “You’re a little fat but that’s ooooooookay” all of which only contain the words in the title of the song but in varying pitch and syllable length. Along with countless hours of babytalk and whispered praise.

That's completely normal! Why on earth would it not be normal. I sing and talk to my cat constantly! Animal lovers know what's up!

I used to sing to my little dog, he loved that, sometimes he'd start tearing back and forth across the room and get all happy. We'd discuss financial matters too.

Great, you make fun of your future husband online behind his back. Hopefully you should be able to see who acts foolish here

Hint: it is the person criticizing the innocent behavior of a random human being that they are choosing to marry!!!

    • He asked me to ask the question because he wants to prove that other people sing to their pets as well, and I roast him to his face all the time on it. You can unbunch your panties now

If you want to hate on and judge another person's behavior that's your right. Just maybe don't be so self important to think he should spend the rest of his life with you.

Don't take away from him, getting to spend life with somebody who appreciates and accepts all of him.

(And is not so immature to expose his embarrassing behavior online to total strangers who you seek will validate your judgements of your fiance)

Seriously how insecure can you be? You're not even secure in your insecurity lmao

Of course it's normal. He just loves his dog a lot. A lot of people's pets are their whole universe. I use to sing "what's new pussycat" to my pet cat.
