Is it normal my dog likes licking my methhead brother

Whenever my 23 year old brother, who uses meth regularly, hangs out at my house my dog licks his legs excessively. He usually has scabs or wounds up and down his legs that he says the dog is "trying to heal" him and thinks it's an act of compassion, so he lets the dog lick because he doesn't want to "hurt her feelings by denying her". I think she just wants druggie blood.

The excessive licking could also be due to how much druggies sweat and all the salt left on the skin. I do think it's gonna take more than some doggie kisses to heal all the the scabs and irritation on your tweaker brother's skin. The only way to truly heal his skin is to sober up. Your brother's physical appearance may also stress out the dog as domestic dogs and cats will see him as sick and in need of attention and nurturing, but underneath it all they want him to be clean and healthy. Your brother needs to sober up from drugs and shower more often so as not to transmit germs to the dog or anyone else.

My second ex husband had a brother who was strung out on meth, and I let him use my personal shower. He left an awful mess all over my bathtub, shower walls and glass door of dirt and dried sweat. I had to replace my bath poof and some brushes, it was disgusting; it looked like someone washed a dirty stray animal from the street in my shower.

Crystal meth is a very bad drug. I hope your brother can sober up soon!

    Your dog can OD.
Naw, seriously I wouldn't let your dog lick his wounds, cuts or even him because you'll never want your dog to lick/kiss you!
Gotta agree with Rose's comment above. The dog feels bad for him.
