It's normal for lovers to like or want lots of things, but a lot depends on the nature of the relationship. It the guy a control freak? Does he threaten to leave if you don't do what he wants, or is this just a, 'let's try it and see' kind of thing. My woman likes me to be bristly down there, and to shave my scrotum. I don't mind doing that even though it itches a little, because I love to think I can turn her on a bit. If she were to say, "trim that down or I won't do you," that would be a big red flag in the relationship.
