I really like all the kids that come around my home and are friends with my son. She maybe knows what it's like to be your age and just wants you not to feel awkward.
One word of warning though - don't read too much into it. If you hurt her son, you'll find out exactly how much / little she really thinks of you!!
Blood is always thicker than water so don't complain about him to her - ever!!
