Is it specific locations? Maybe he has really powerful emotions attached with those sites, and doesn't want to get emotional in front of you. Or maybe he's just "been there, done that". Either way, you guys should go to some new places, and make new memories.
its normally anywhere he has memories with. So if hes been to a certain arcades he will choose to avoid arcades at all cost, same with bowling alleys, and ice skating rinks.
