Realize that the bird sees you as its number one "best friend," or substitute mate. Your family members are competitors for your attention, and that's why she reacts the way she does.
Humans aren't particularly bright when it comes to these things because if we were, we'd not have brought birds into our homes considering what THEIR needs and behaviours are!
Try to give your bird as much attention as possible, but also considering adding another bird to the family so she will have a friend of her own species, too. I recommend you get a male parakeet for her to make friends with, it will help the situation.
