it is addicting, i whistle all the time. i do it without even recognising I'm doing it sometimes. totally normal but cannot explain why it is so comforting to do it
I'm sure you are a lovely person but regarding whistling have you no consideration for the people around you? Its comforting to YOU but annoying to some other people. Its almost as if as long as you are getting comfort from your whistling you don't care if the sound might intrude on someone else's peace. It so unfortunate that human beings have not evolved to shut their ears at a whim, a bit like the way you can close your eyes if you don't like what you see.
There is something very selfish about whistling in public. If you are alone sure knock yourself out but when around others have some consideration.
