Is it normal my bf got into “bloodletting”

My boyfriend has gotten into something called “bloodletting” which is basically cutting yourself and letting your blood drain as a type of therapy/stress relief.

He said that it’s supposed to release a bunch of hormones and bad emotional chemicals or something along those lines. He does it about once a week (for about 4 months now) while taking a bath and letting his arm drain into a bucket.

I think it’s batshit crazy. He’s always had insane stress-relief “methods” but this one takes the cake.

Also, I’m the chick from the “My bf rips the skin out of his mouth” post. Interesting guy, right?

    So, your boyfriend shreds the inside of his mouth and drains his own blood supply. Anything else? Does he mash table salt into fresh wounds? Tie weights around his dick to lengthen it? Drink his own piss?

    Sounds like he's into self harm, basically. The "benefits" might just be excuses he tells himself and others to make it seem better.

    There's a reason why bloodletting is a practice that died out in the medical field, along with a lot of other harmful, middle age mistakenness.
