Not exactly normal but she's dealing with things as she wants to. she also may have been victimized by your dad in other ways, finances, accusations, lies, frustrations and she might want nothing to do with you because you might bring him. so if you do write her tell her we can go meet somewhere nearby I won't even tell dad I met you, I just think this is something I need to try. a few other nice things.
