Some people like very simple games because they find it relaxing. In real life I have some magnetic sticks and metal balls from my childhood that I still sometimes build structures out of just to crush them down, they’re designed for children but it’s calming.
I’m guessing your friend is doing the same here, it’s nothing to worry about.
