I have a niece who just turned three. My husband and I babysit her sometimes. She refers to her privates as her kitty. My husband thinks this is an adult term, a little vulgar even, and shouldn't be used by kids. I say it's a perfectly harmless and innocent term and he's crazy. What do you think?
I know a 6 year old who calls her vagina and flat boobs 'dem sexy parts'. I think she learned it from me when I was trying to make my friend feel better after a break up and pointed out everything good about her, eventually pointing to her vagina and breasts and calling them 'dem sexy parts' just as she entered the room.
I feel so guilty, but at the same time, it's hilarious.
Sounds like this kid was raised by a hooker. Kids should only use that term to mean a cat. You are right it sounds very inappropriate since even though its a less vulgar term its generally used by adults. Its like calling it a pussy which really mean CAT. Maybe she heard someone refer to it as a "Pussy" and put it together. Though it makes you wonder where this child was when she heard this kind of stuff.
