If you ever wonder where you come from or why you are like you are, some of the answers are on the end of that phone line. If you ever wonder what one of your parents was like at your age, or what your grandmother was like, the answer is in the same place. If you ever wonder why you live where you do and what part of the country (or other country) your family came from, it's the same answer.
If you don't care or wonder about any of this, I wonder just what you do fill your thoughts with. They must be amazing if the history of how you came to be is not even an afterthought but a non-thought.
You won't remember posting this story when you yourself are ninety, but part of me hopes you do.
Your completely right evreything you said, I never really looked at the situation like that.I really have to try respect her life. But honestly I don't care to know anything about my family I view my life as dettached from theirs.
Well, in a way, I was thinking about it selfishly, because I've always wanted to know where I come from. Knowing this stuff is all for my benefit. Two of my great-grandparents lived into their mid-nineties. When I started the family history, there wasn't a day I didn't wish they were still alive. But when they were alive, I don't think I asked them a single thing. I just regret it, is all. :/
Is it normal My 90 year old grandma freaks me out.
