Yeah, every time I heat a funeral or life insurance commercial say, "If you are age 40 to 85..." I think, "Yes we start to become aware of our mortality when we hit 40 don't remind us!"
It can be rough when you are at the awkward ages when the world is saying, "No no, you are not old enough yet."
I would love to be 20 again, back when I was sneaking into clubs with a borrowed ID. Or sleeping with some 37 year old woman. Nowadays for me that is a younger woman.
This age business creeps up on you way faster than you can imagine right now.
Enjoy your youth while you can.Yeah there is the bullshit but the good thing is you still have a lot of opportunities. Neither your family nor childhood idols are dying off yet. My generation never thought we would see the deaths of David Bowie, Prince, Micheal Jackson, Tom Petty... I mean we knew but didn't believe.
The world does not have real high expectations of you and is more willing to help. Plus you do not have to look back and wish you had done this or that.
Anyways, the day will come when you will be over 40 and think, "How the fuck did this happen?"
