It feels better when it's bare, so naturally they'd like that. If you don't feel comfortable with it though, you shouldn't do it. Getting yourself tested regularly doesn't prevent you from getting STDs. It only let's you know whether or not you have them. The only thing that can prevent STDs are condoms.
Sadly that is not true. Condoms don't always protect from STD. Though telling people to stay abstinent is most likely not a very good deterrent since people like SEX. Condoms mostly prevent unwanted pregnancy.
I didn't at all imply that condoms are the genital's safe haven, I simply stated that they are the only way to keep yourself safe from STDs.
I would never tell an adult that they should stay abstinent, but wearing a condom is the bare minimum responsible act if you have multiple partners.
