Maybe it's something like this. There's this kid in your group, they are kind of a goofball, the constant comedian. So when they say something, you're already expecting to laugh. But then this other person in the group doesn't usually say much. That person tries to make a joke, but you're caught off guard and don't laugh. Everybodys seen an example of this in there lifetime I'm sure. So when it comes to gender, the female gender isn't expected to be as funny, so what you say in girl post is probably taken more seriously than comically. I'm a girl, and I've made a name for myself with my friends as being 'funny' that's weird to say about myself lol But noone gives me an odd look and they know when i'm joking, but sometimes I forget not everyone knows me that way, and I made a joke to a guy one time at a festival and he looked shocked xD
