I think that the world needs people like you. I work in an office that supports people with mental and physical disabilities, without people like you working there, they would not be given as much independence nor treated as well. There is a place in this world for everyone - its normal in my opinion. I think they should be treated just as anyone else, of course there are barriers but as independently as possible.
I have met too many people with disabilities where there was nothing wrong with their brain, though they seemed mentally disabled - they couldnt talk properly etc.., but they had college educations and were fully aware.
Anyway, there are always going to be people with totally different views on the topic - some people think that its a weakness and some people think it just is, and everyone deserves the right to an independent life.
