Is it normal if my eyes water often?

I live down in Atlanta, GA, and often times my left or right eye will water, and continues to for some time. Is this allergies? Or is this abnormal?

    My eyes water like crazy (yet feel like they are full of sand) while I'm at work. I think it's a combination of the A/C being on full blast, and from looking at my computer screen ALL day...

    Yeah it really sucks... Sometimes I'll be in public, and something in the air will hit my eye, and they start to redden, as tears appear. It really pisses me off when people ask me "is their something wrong"? or "Why are you crying"? Yeah that Fuggin sux!

    This happens to me often, alot more during the day though when it's bright or if I get little sleep, night time I'm fine...I'm told it's just sensitive eyes/allergies by doctors
