Thanks for the help you guys. I left out that my grandmother also has Schizophrenia and some of my half siblings do as well. I'm in my early 20's so I'm still at risk for developing it. I pride myself in being an individual and I'm afraid that if I inherit this illness, I'll have to depend on people for the rest of my life.
My biological mother who has it does not have a job. She just sits at home and lives off of government benefits. I go to school full time and work part time and she lives in a nicer house than I do. How is that fair? She could be ok if she took her medicine but, she refuses to.
Is it normal if I'm afraid I'm going to develop Schizophrenia?
