I'd say almost everyone believes it's stupid to outright tell someone about this, but think about it.
If you just say to someone honestly without pretense "Sometimes I feel like you're attracted to me or something, is that right?" why would there be a negative response?
If you're asking them instead of telling them "I think you're attracted to me." they are much more likely to respond positively. Any variant of that sentence should be just fine. I've asked people many times what they're thinking or feeling about something "controversial." There's no (good) way to know without asking.
Plus, if they do, you can invite your girlfriend for a family fuck fest. Or dump her and date her sister. Please don't do that.
