Speaking from experience:
It appears you are going through a revalationary stage where you may (finally) discover what your sexuality is. I believe that whilst experimenting is a good idea that what you are doing to your bunkmate is torturous and you must stop. I have been in her situation before and it can be confusing. You should discuss with her about what you are thinking and how you are feeling, then begin experimenting if you believe you are ready, but ease in slowly. As you said above the drunk mind speaks sober thoughts, it is possible your inhibitions are misguiding you to feel confused.
