Heroin, if you do a bit of research, is not a particularly dangerous drug. If used intelligently (measured doses and clean needles), people can be on it for a lifetime, without disastrous results, unlike meth and coke, which definitely do physical and mental harm rather quickly. At one time there were thousands of people hooked on heroin, who worked every day (dressed in suits), had families and you would never have imagined it to meet them, in NYC alone. Perhaps still, I don't know.
Alcohol isn't too bad if used responsibly. I drink all the time and it doesn't cause me any problems. Not that I don't have any problems, but they're not alcohol related. I know lots of successful people who drink. I don't drink and drive, I never get hangovers because I always eat and drink water with my alcohol, I never black out, I often go days and sometimes weeks without drinking and anything I do stupid while drinking I would have done anyway. I cannot say that about meth. Everyone I know on meth is completely fucked up.
Yeah I treat alcohol just the same as you. My point wasn't to say meat is better, it surely isn't. But far more people die from alcohol than other substances, which s why alcohol is the most dangerous drug out there. It's unpredictable, everyone acts differently, and most of the time people do stupid things while drunk, which may cause accidents. Every drug can be used with care if you know what you're doing.

Used correctly, any drugs can make you last a lifetime. I listed herroin becouse it's such a addictive drug and very easy to overdose on.

Alcohol causes more deaths because it's more common for people to use. It's one of the few substances you can go buy at the store.
If heroin or meth were like that they would be way worse.
If somebody dies while drinking it's probably because they were being a dumbass. If you're not a dumbass it wont do that.
