No it sounds as if you were simply curious. What most people don't understand is that being a psychopath means that the person is unable to process emotion. The only reason that most associate this with "evil" as you put it, is because serial killers and others who commit similar crimes are able to commit these crimes because they cannot process the emotion of guilt. There are also psychopaths that never do any harm to anyone, they are just able to do so without a pestering conscience By the way psychopathy is actually extremely rare. Also I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that had you been a psychopath as a child it would not have just gone away. I don't think that it is usually something that can be gotten rid of.
