I don't normally do this, because I sleep in a very modest place that makes up for my needs, but recently I was overcome by this urge and would very much like to sleep on a very expensive $12k sofa, even if somebody only paid 6k for it and I have to travel to the other side of the world for it!! :D Is is normal, you guyses?!
Yes, but a expensive couch doesn't have the skills to go live in the jungle. Carnivores would catch one whiff of it and try to rip the poor thing to shreds. There's also heavy rain that will mold it's fabric and don't get me started about the quicksand. It'll be a goner if it walks into it.
I was working at a barn once, riding horses. A rich kid trying to cut it as a working student came into the barn, greeted by my dog. She then immediately proceeded to tell me about her dogs and how they regularly jumped all over her 15k couch. The point of her little story, I'll never know, but talking of expensive couches made me think of it. I just ignored her and finished tacking up whatever horse I was schooling. But back to your original post: hell, if you want to sleep on an expensive couch - go for it... :)
