IIN I want to see a therapist but think no one is qualified enough?

      It's not narcissistic to know yourself better than a councilor does. I've been to many therapists and op is right about them being a waste or time and money unless you can afford a really expensive one that charges about 80$ an apointment.

        Yeah, I guess I was kinda PMSing when I wrote that. It does help to see someone who specializes in one's particular disorder. I also think I was, perhaps focusing a little too much on my current therapist with whom I've been working for almost 6 years now.

        In retrospect, I can think of quite a few who have been a complete waste of time. So I guess I might have been a bit hasty there.

          Yeah, and I was drunk last night. I probably shouldn't be so discouraging against getting treatment. I just have a strong bias against the mental health system.
