    It's an astonishingly beautiful country. The Cotswolds are the inspiration for the Shire in Lord of the Rings and we've got things like Bodiam castle (which perhaps should only exist in fairy tales) and Skara Brae. My American friends very much enjoy living here, probably more than British people enjoy living here.

    I guess when you're somewhere other than the place you see day in, day out, you appreciate it more. For my part, I'd quite like to live in America for a while, so maybe Britain isn't as great as it seems. It's home, though.

    P.S. If you really did want to move and needed advice or help about anything, just ask.

      I'm always looking for new places to visit and didn't know about Bodiam castle. It looks great and definitely goes on the list.

        I first saw it on a morning with low-lying mist all around it. I don't usually feel much nationalistic fervour but when I saw it, I did think: "Oh my! This is part of my country. This is me. This beautiful, beautiful thing is England".

        And then I thought about starting a war with the French. :P
