Yep. Your case is way more serious, but I got a hairline crack on my front tooth from some really hot glaze, (stupid me). I was in constant, aching, stinging, pain for like 2 weeks.
I wanted to kill myself, also because my parents wouldn't take me to the dentist at the time.
Is it normal I want to kill myself because of a toothache ?
