Okay I'm not fully sure about the rules in other countries, but I think at some point people were actually prevented from going outside at all unless for strictly necessary purposes, like going to the groceries. And there was an issue of people over-walking their dogs (I get they do need walks) to the point of the dogs being exahusted, because that was a valid reason to go out that everyone in the household used.
Things like restaurants, night clubs, concert etc. aren't necessary on their own, but there is an important connection that is gives more people jobs, which is important for economy. Too many people being unemployed leads to bad economy, which can lead to actual poverty (in worst case people end up starving or homeless, and access to healthcare is also dependent on economy whether it goes via tax or people pay directly). You need to have a certain amount of the population in work to keep society functioning, and the jobs lost arent automatically replaced. In addition to that, its just a way to let people enjoy their life that appeal to various people, and people should enjoy their life. As for social interaction, internet and phone helps a bit, but can never fully make up for in-person contact, especially with people you were originally close with in real life. It does not have the same quality and feel to it. Because we cant eliminate all dangers (or really regardless) the thought of eliminating danger should be balanced with other things, not be the only thing people ever care about. A life that leans 100% into ensuring safety as much as possible is not gonna be enjoyable to most people. Locking my door at night is not a significant sacrifice, but if its gets to the point of almost never leaving your house you're sacrificing too much for it. Everyone dies at some point, what makes the difference is having fulfillment in life before that. How far you want to take the safety priority makes me think you would want to keep it even if covid dissapeared, because other diseases still exist and always will.
Even if people only go out for neccesary things like going to the grocery store, people are still gonna infect each other in these places.
From reading your comment (and all your other ignorant comments), if I'm being honest, it's people like you that need to get it.
What are you not comprehending? Resteraunts, night clubs, concerts, etc. are the reason why it keeps spreading. That's the number one factor. Idiotic people like you with that same pea sized brain as you keep going to these places because they're too stupid to grasp that they're going to spread covid. You're obviously too stupid to comprehend anything I'm saying. For your once again eye-roll inducing statements, no, you do not need to to have in-person contact with those you "love". As long as you're interacting with those that are present in your life, it shouldn't matter if that interaction is by via messaging or in person. Poor argument you made there. Try again. News flash, people will not enjoy their life if they get infected, or infect someone they know and that person possibly dies, or they themselves die. I cannot fathom how someone like you thinks of a poor argument, then thinks, "Hmm, oh yeah, this is a really good argument!". Oh, and rather ensuring safety is enjoyable to most people is irrelevant. Once again, try again. And are you going to keep repeating the same thing over and over again? Yes, we will all die at some point, and guess what? We'll be dead, so our experiences with life won't matter. That being said, whether we were fulfilled in life or not will be irrelevant. Your point is..? And yeah, you can still get sick by just going to the grocery store, but if you disinfect whatever you're using to store your groceries in, wear a mask, and use hand sanitizer, it lowers the chances of you getting infected greatly. I wear a mask, hand sanitize, and disinfect my cart when I shop, haven't gotten sick. Not even a cold. Again, try again. Do me a favor and don't reply if you're going to keep writing bullshit after bullshit. Have a good day.
No I'm not too stupid to comprehend what you're saying, I just have conflicting arguments against it. I know those things spread disease more, but life should not be only about that. Spending or whole life thinking about what can kill us will make almost nobody enjoy their life, dying to a bit earlier wont necessarily prevent you enjoying your life before that. Its just as much a problem you dont understand the importance of quality of life and not just surviving. And keeping most people in jobs is an important point. I think you missed the point about poverty from unemployment, and these things create jobs.
But its probably time we end the discussion anyway. You haven't changed my mind (not the same as not getting your point, but you are just fanatic about that point and dont consider other factors).
But this discussion is getting kind of long. You calling me stupid and dense only makes yourself seem those things, if you were mature you just use actual arguments instead of insults.
No, life shouldn't be all about that, but you should still take safety measures. You are not getting my point.
That's a great idea. It will make it easier on you.
And no, it doesn't. When someone seems stupid to you, sometimes you're going to call them out as, well, stupid. It is not anyone else's fault but your own if YOU are making yourself be perceived as stupid. Plus, if you're not taking this Covid-19 situation seriously, that says a lot, which you obviously see it as no big deal, and rather continue life as normal when it is not. It is your own fault that you're making yourself seem dumb, not mine. Once again, have a good day.
Is it normal I want to kill anti mandate protestors?
