Is it normal i want to get a type writer?

I like to write and its hard trying to find a way to transfer over documents from my computer. My computer is also broken and I only have one functioning port. A type writer would make it a lot quicker since I don't actually have to print anything. I found some for about as much as a printer with a regular modern key board. Is it normal I would want one though?

    I love old fashioned things. I find them aesthetically pleasing but I don't know why. I have always wanted a really old type writer for that reason and for the satasfying ping.

    The backspace/delete function sucks and cut/paste operations are a messy affair. You'd better be absolutely sure before you peck it out.

    You can find some models in the Signals catalog. That's where I found my new one. They also sell new tape ribbon. :D

    it would be quicker in a way to type on one, plus the older ones are neat to look at. My dad has several that he has redone. I have an old ibm electronc one with a screen on it. I dont use it much though.

    That is a cool retro idea. Get an old word processor with the display screen that works. It'll save you paper and correction tape.
