Sure it's normal. You are afraid of guys that have baggage that you already know about, and so you desire the "unknown". Women seem to have infatuations with men that are somewhat "mysterious". Women seem to be attracted to men that are "tall, dark, & handsome". Women like men that are going to be challenges.
My conclusion... You women are all nuts.
