Is it normal i want i belly button pierced?

I've been wanting my belly utton pierced and i've read on the internet that only the clamp hurts worse than the actual piercing. What do you think.

    OH! and dont get numbing jelly, te area has to be sterile! Otherwise the jelly mixes with your blood and stuff

    I had mine done today (: watch a YouTube vid. I was panicking like crazy and I asked the guy if it hurt and he said "oh I won't feel a thing!" bastard! Lol! But they mark it, and you see ifyou like where it is, then you lay down and it just feels like someones pinching you using there fingernails for like 3 seconds!

    I got my belly button peirced and the clamp does hurt more but it hurts less then a stubbed toe. It's just more of a pinching feeling

    Had mine done 12 years ago and the worse thing was the soreness a day or 2 after. It didn't hurt getting it done

    its really not that bad. ive had mine done twice (i had to get it redone... just a word of advice, if you get it done do NOT hop a fence while intoxicated and wearing a short shirt...) but yeah . if your still scared some places have numbing jelly they can apply prior to the piercing.

    Yeah, that's normal! I want my lip done. But my rents say no... Even though I feel that I would look great.

    Well it's your body but I would seriously consider the consequences and all the outcomes. I had mine pierced twice (the first time it closed over when I lost the bar lol) but I've now taken all my piercings (nose,lip,belly) out and let them heal over because I was tired of them.

    I mean of course you could do the same if you get tired of having a piercing but be aware that it will leave a scar behind.

    Also make sure the place you go to get pierced is reputable and uses sterilised equipment, I once had my nose pierced with a ear gun and the idiot put a butterfly stud in my nose!

    Just take the time to think about things and make sure it is what you want.

    It's your body, do with it as you please. I think everyone has different pain thresholds so don't listen to the horror stories people feed sometimes.
    I had mine done nearly 12 years ago now and it was fine - even with me being the biggest wimp when it comes to pain!
