  • I think it's pretty normal to consider improving one's looks, but the question is; at what cost? Will this operation change your life as much as you think it will, or will you still find fault with your looks?
Are you doing this only for yourself, or is this a reaction to something others have said? And what happens if it doesn't go well? Are you prepared to live with those consequences?
You did not mention your age, which could be a factor, too.
All in all, I don't really think you will actually achieve what you are seeking with surgery. Accept yourself as you are. I seriously doubt that others see you nose as the huge detraction that you do.

    • no its based off my own realization of it. I also observe "universal' features in the most attractive persons known, even in "non person" characters that are widely popular: movie characters, dolls.

that smaller/even symmetric nose is undeniable. its right smack in the middle of your face

And i think it makes a lot of difference in your ability to look someone straight with more confidence.

oh and im 21 by the way

Is this normal? I mean yourself. im sure theres SOMETHING that you would want to change

      • Of course there are things about myself that I think detract from my looks (like a rather HUGE nose) but to actually go under the knife and change them, no way.
But more importantly, IMO, is your statement, "the most attractive persons known, even in "non person" characters that are widely popular: movie characters, dolls.". Let's break this down a bit so you can see it a bit more clearly. "The most attractive persons known"; to whom? Everybody has a different idea of what's attractive, right? Some consider Angelina Jolie super attractive, but I really do not see it. I'm much more a Jennifer Aniston kinda guy, but she's far from perfect, as well.
"Movie characters" are not real people. What you see there is a combination of lighting, make up and a script; not a real person at all. As for dolls, well that's just silly. Would you really like the proportions of a Barbi doll?
"that smaller/even symmetric nose is". One of the greatest parts of looking at human beings is their variety. None of us has symmetric features; even our legs and arms aren't exactly the same length.
Of course, you will do as you please, but I sincerely believe you are making a horrible mistake, and the time and energy you spend hating your looks, would be much better spent on accepting yourself and living your life as just you are.
