If you haven’t noticed society still isn’t very nice to the disabled. They may get a few people who treat them kindly, but they often treated as burdens and are severely bullied whether in front of their face or behind their back. I’ve seen it firsthand.
And do you want to sacrifice your ability to walk, think, etc? Is your desire for what you hope gives pity worth it? Is it not completely offensive to those who suffer such?
