Is it normal i've never been to a gynecologist?

I am 22 years old, obviously a girl, and I've never been to a gynecologist.
I've been sexually active since I was 17 and my period as always be on time and regular.
I've never had any type of problem down there and I did the HPV vaccine when I was in middle school but I've never been to a gynecologist before.
Should I go? Is it strange I haven't?

    Usually women don't even start going to gynos until age 21. You should go to get checked for STDs every time you have a new sexual partner (or every 2-3 months if you regularly have new partners), but other than that you don't need to go in unless your doctor recommends it or you're concerned about something

    Better to spend small money on condoms to keep in your purse than big money on a needless appointment.

      Of course I always have safe sex with safe partners, all kind of sexual intecourses that is.
