Is it normal i use a buttcloth?

Whenever I take a bath in a bathtub I place a washcloth under my butt so my butt doesn't touch the tub. I call this a buttcloth. Everyone except me thinks it is rediculous. Is it normal that I use a buttcloth?

When I have to bathe small babies in a big tub I do that to stop them slipping so much.

Unless the bathtub is dirty or slippery, I can't imagine anyone doing that. Are you afraid of drowning in the tub?

I sometimes sit in the tub before I let the water run. In that case such a "buttcloth" would be useful, because the tub is usually fairly cold.
