I just don't know. I'm taking a wait and see approach (as if I really had any other options...) I definitely don't like HIM, but I do kind of like the fact that he's different. It could be good or bad, but I don't know why so many people are acting like it's the end of the world/country/whatever.
Or to give a more concrete example, lot's of people seem to believe he's anti-gay rights for some reason, but this was never one of the issues he campaigned on. I mean he's probably not pro-gay rights either, but I see no reason to think his administration will be a nightmare for same-sex couples or anything. Yet this just seems to be taken for granted.
When it comes to gay rights, it's not so much Donald Trump as it is Mike Pence. Pence is one of the most openly bigoted politicians in the country today. So you can defend Trump's statements on gay rights, but you can't say his "administration" won't be a nightmare for same-sex couples.
And the other nightmare for same-sex couples is Trump's judges. We know what kind of far right lunatics he's going to try to nominate. He's already put out lists, and they include known bigots. While he might not be targeting gay rights specifically, by picking judges that are anti-choice and anti-union and anti-free speech and anti-gun control, gay rights will also end up in the crosshairs.
Is it normal I think trump will be a good president?
