Ive been in that similiar situation before. I really despise how in many of my normal classes, they allow mentally handicapped peoples aids to literally do the work for them. For example, a community chemistry class, which isnt regents level chemistry so it is easy, there was this one girl i recall, she was socially just like everyone else and could spell and write completely fine. Yet, she had N aid with her at all times. Her aid would take all her notes for her while she listened to her ipod, she would do her work, give her every answer and the teacher would have to come over to tell the aid the girl would be right. To me, this was just pure laziness. Yet on a different note, there are those who are so slow, they slow the class down. English is my strongest subject and yet they always put me in these "mixed classes". These mixed classes put the exceptionally well with the extremely slow, this "integration" does not suit either sides and from my experience i have missed out on simple high school experiences. In my opinion not everyone is suited for "normal" classes. And information about a mentally handicapped student should be provided if they must be in classes with normal functionig students, but i still stand my ground where classes should be different and if someone were attackin me, i would defend myself no matter what.
Is it normal I think they add classes to deal with retarded people?
