  • It makes sense that if a person is only achieving D and Cs then they shouldn't be wasting time on a job.

    • Maybe. One could also argue that if they're only achieving D and C grades it's school that's a waste of their time.

    • Yes since it makes sure to push them through school knowing they are not going to college. They are going to be in debt there whole life and probobly going to do awful in college if they do decide to go.

Apposed to a person who got the A and B and got 80% of college paid so they dont have to worry. Yeah that makes a ton of sense. That is also saying since you can not pass a class you can not work. Some people are good workers but not so great at school.

So that is such a lie. Not saying the system abandon these kids but let them HELP THEMSELVES. If you can not. System makes it where no one can HELP THEMSELVES. Even if they really want to and we wonder why have so many poor and homeless.

It is becuase the system set it up so that they fail. By taking away the right to help yourself they have doomed us to failure. Thanks to these stupid restrictions.

Why can people not work at 12 like in the past? No a 12 year old should not be kidnapped and forced into a labour camp against will.

Yes they should have the right to a break but and coverage in accident but they should have a right to work. Who said being 12 or not very smart makes you incapable of working? THIS IS NOT HELPING ANYONE! AS MUCH AS THEY PRETEND IT DOES.

On the other end some very intelligent people who do good in school are very lazy. So what makes them think they are going to do great at anything beside organizing papers? Many of them do not want a job flipping burgers anyways.

Not that they should not get a chance to apply for the job if they want. I do not think it should only be reserved for intelligent students. instead of making the ones who are doing poorly feel even more shitty.

What if the child does bad at school and great at the job. That means they might get promoted. They might later get a better job and move up. Plus it would probobly heighten the self esteem because I do not think anyone can say failing and feeling like an idiot helps esteem. So they know they did something right and are earning something for it.

So please tell me again why this is a good Idea? I am just not seeing it.
